Crazy in love with my soul was completed in August 2022. 9” x 7” canvas is made from plastic bags. Picture is aluminum cans. Finished over with resin.

This was a request to give as a gift. The request was a turtle with some sort of saying to do with self-love.

I think that there is something that I fight with in every piece. Something that is so frustrating because in the moment I feel like it ruined the piece. Every time though it’s exactly what needed to happen in order make the piece complete. This piece is one of the only survivors against my epic battle against resin. The messes of all messes. The battle of many lessons. And then the end result ended up super bubbly. I almost felt completely defeated. Then I realized, duh the turtle is swimming and creating the bubbles. Not my fault. I continued forward, finished it out and I’m absolutely in love with how it turned out.

I suppose the overall message that goes with it is. No matter how messy, or chaotic, or defeated one may ever feel, just keep swimming because sometimes those things are exactly the lessons needed in order to expand knowledge further. Being crazy in with one’s own soul is the most powerful thing and will open up all the opportunities needed for a fulfilling life.
