Mountain Mama was completed in August 2022. 10”x 14” canvas is made from plastic bags. The picture is made from aluminum cans. Finished over with resin.

I am absolutely in love with this piece. This is a special request from my sweet friend and number one returning customer. A gift to give their mom. The request was mountains, trees, take me home and maybe a moon or a sun.

I immediately saw the vision and knew what to do. I honestly was a little worried about how to transition the sky from day to night. Turns out that is my personal favorite part of the picture. Seems like that’s how it always works out.

Of course, every piece has a personal touch to it but there is something extra special with this one. Many years back before I figured out I was supposed to be an artist, I made my mother a picture. I made her a picture of her house but as a heart because she has a home of love. It is made of gum wrappers. It is really neat. So when I was asked to make this picture, I knew that their needed to be a home of love in it. Since it’s a mom gift, to me it only made sense.

I’m really happy and honored to be able to share in the love of this gift.
