My name is Amanda. My life purpose is to spread peace, love and happiness. I have and will continue to do so in as many ways as I possibly can. Right now, it is through creation of turning trash into art. I’ve always known part of my path was supposed to be an artist. It wasn’t until recently that I found my full path though. Which is crazy because I’ve been doing it my whole life. I have always made random things out of random things. I’m good at it and I love doing it. I love the challenge. I’m not sure how my brain does it, but it does. I’ve never liked trash and for many years I spent so much energy getting upset about things I couldn’t change. Instead, I started to put all that energy into the places I could change. That’s when I started creating with trash. I use whatever I find. People save things for me a lot without even asking. Things that they feel bad about throwing out. Or things that they find. Also, as I’ve evolved going out to the waterways has become a place for me. I had no idea the kinds of things that would be found. The most random things. I become like a kid in a candy store. My brain loves it. It explodes with ideas. The curiosity of where all these things come from. The stories of what they were and seeing them transform into something completely different.
