This piece was completed in January 2022. I have been obsessed with cows my entire life. Hands down my favorite animal and I can’t even tell you why. Anytime I find a person who finds that same love, I claim them as my friend forever. Full inspiration for this piece came from such a friend who I’m actually gifting it to. One day they made a request to see cows in a field. A few months go by and I still hadn’t gotten around to it. Until the same friend gifted me the most amazing shoes I’ve ever owned! Cow shoes. In that moment I knew it was time. So the journey began. The base is made from plastic grocery bags. The cows and the grass are all made from a rope I found at the river. The well is made from corks and the roof is made from aluminum cans. The bucket is a tube tied with fishing line onto an Allen key. Yes the bucket moves up and down. This is and always will be one of my most favorite pieces. I am so happy to share it with such an udderly amazing friend. A friend with so many wonderful qualities but my favorite is their ability to make me laugh.
