Fishing Bridge

The fishing bridge was made in February 2021. It was made after the log cabin with the idea of connecting the trails together because let’s be real who doesn’t want to walk out of their cabin and come upon stream with a bridge to fish at. I really enjoyed making this one as it was a bit of a challenge trying to figure out how to make the stream. The bridge is made out of wine corks. The stream I built up with rocks lined then with aluminum. All the grass in the water is an aluminum can. Fishes and turtle are hand sculpted from clay. The “water” is resin. Fishermen is part of an old gift card with screws for arms and legs. Fishing pole is a piece of metal I found.
This piece is making its home to a very special person. A person who always seems to be around in troubled waters to be that solid foundation for all. A person who has helped me heal in many ways. They have been a bridge for me and also helped me build my own to get over the rivers of life. Not only for me but for many, many others. I wish I could give the world to this person because they deserve it, but a piece of my heart will have to do for now.
